What tickets do you have on your frig for February?

We are still going through the winter freeze as far as shows go, I only have four shows for the month of February.

This week I have two shows, first The Magnetic Fields are playing at the Lisner Auditorium on Thursday February 4th.  We get the opening show of the tour to support the recently released "Realism" album.   Listen to You Must Be Out Of Your Mind for a preview. 

Then we have Evan Dando (of the Lemonheads) playing Iota on Saturday the 6th.  Awesome he is playing such an intimate venue. 

We Were Promised Jetpacks are playing the Rock in Roll Hotel on the 13th (Saturday).  Try listening to Keeping Warm, Roll Up Your Sleeves, or Quiet Little Voices. And it's just in time as an early Valentine's present!  Think I can get away with that?  :-) 

I am not going to be able to make the show, but Tegan & Sara are playing at the Warner Theatre on Wednesday the 17th.

The last show of the month is Cage the Elephant (listen to Back Against the Wall or Lotus, and everyone has heard Ain't No Rest For the Wicked), with As Tall As Lions (check out Into the Flood) and Morning Teleportation opening at the 9:30 Club on Thursday February 25th.  Really looking forward to being able to catch Cage the Elephant and As Tall As Lions in the same show.  What a bargain at only $15!

And the thaw is coming! I already have 6 shows in the first two weeks of March and then there is SXSW on the 17th of March!  April is looking really good too; we're getting the "after SXSW bump" of touring bands coming through DC.
